The participants will be divided into two groups of four each, where they will play against each other, and the top two from each group will advance to the semifinals, while the remaining two will be eliminated. The groups are named after two tennis greats, the American Jimmy Connors and the Swede Björn Borg. The American's group will include Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, American Taylor Fritz, Australian Alex de Minaur, and Italian Lorenzo Musetti, replacing Serbian Novak Djokovic, who, after winning the ATP in Athens this Saturday against Musetti, announced he was withdrawing from the tournament due to a 'current injury'. The Swede Borg's group will include Italian Jannick Sinner, German Alexander Zverev, American Ben Shelton, and Canadian Félix Auger-Aliassime.
