Emma Morano, born in Italy in 1899, is considered the last person born in the 19th century, and she is now 125 years old. Emma began this unique dietary habit in 2011 after being diagnosed with anemia in the aftermath of World War I.
In an interview with the "French Press Agency," Emma confirmed that eating eggs daily provides her with the energy and necessary nutrients to maintain good health. Her diet consists of eating 3 eggs daily, two of which are raw and one is cooked in the form of an "omelet," alongside grapes and a special drink for energy production.
In her later years, Emma reduced her egg intake to two eggs daily to maintain a lower energy level without the need for medication. Emma believes that eating eggs as a light snack helps in weight loss, as they are rich in protein and enhance the feeling of fullness for an extended period.
Despite her attempts to consume eggs, she generally discourages following a balanced diet that includes fruits and vegetables in addition to proteins and dairy products.
Emma attributes her long life success to her decision to remain single and her unique dietary routine. Her family consists of long-lived individuals, with her mother reaching the age of 91, and some of her sisters surpassing the age of 100.
Eggs contain important nutritional elements such as vitamins D and B12 and phosphorus, and they may help reduce the risk of heart disease and cerebrovascular diseases. Nutritionist Helen Pell confirmed that eating eggs can be beneficial for weight loss.
Based on Emma's experiences and her lifestyle approach, it is noted that simple and consistent choices can lead to a long life and good health.
