Fiorentina suffered a defeat this Sunday as a visitor against Hellas Verona, with a score of 1-0 in a match of the twenty-sixth round of Serie A in Italy, held at the Marcantonio Bentegodi stadium. The only goal of the match was scored by Antoine Bernede, midfielder of Verona, at the 50th minute of the second half.
Lucas Beltrán's team recorded their third consecutive defeat in the Italian league, placing them at risk of relegation to the eighth position if Milan and Bologna win their respective pending matches. In their next commitment, Fiorentina will face Lecce and subsequently play against Greece's Panathinaikos in the first leg of the Conference League round of 16.
On the other hand, the victory allowed Hellas Verona to distance themselves from the bottom spots of the table and position themselves in fourteenth place with 26 points. Verona's next match will be against Juventus.
During the match, offensive actions were limited, and both teams appeared cautious. A series of defensive errors by Fiorentina allowed Bernede to score the winning goal with a subtle shot at the end of the match.
Additionally, Fiorentina forward Moise Kean had to be substituted and taken to a medical center after a head clash with an opponent. Despite attempting to continue on the field, Kean collapsed minutes later and was quickly attended to by the team's medical staff.
An official statement regarding the health of the 24-year-old footballer is expected to be released in the coming hours.
