The only goal of the match was scored by Antoine Bernede, midfielder of Verona, at the 50th minute of the second half.

Additionally, Fiorentina forward Moise Kean had to be substituted and taken to a medical center after a head clash with an opponent. Despite attempting to continue on the field, Kean collapsed minutes later and was quickly attended to by the team's medical staff.
