Indirect Talks Between Iran and US Begin in Rome

The Iranian delegation, headed by Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, has arrived in Rome for new talks with the United States regarding the Iranian nuclear file. The meeting is held at a time when US President Donald Trump threatens military action against Iran in the event diplomatic efforts fail.

Araghchi appears in a scene descending from an official Iranian plane in Rome, where he will lead a second round of "indirect" talks with the US special envoy for the Middle East, Steve O'Brien. The second round of talks between Iran and the United States begins today in Rome to resolve the nuclear dispute between them which has been ongoing for years.
