According to information from the Vatican, a respiratory insufficiency found in Pope Francis on Sunday does not trigger alarm. The oxygen therapy continues, but at a slightly reduced level of oxygen. Doctors caution that they are vigilant in their statements about the health status of the Supreme Pontiff. On Sunday morning, the Holy See press service reported that Francis spent his ninth night in the hospital, where he is undergoing treatment for a respiratory infection. In turn, on Saturday evening, a statement was published in Vatican City that mentioned that the Pope was experiencing persistent and severe respiratory distress, similar to that of an asthma attack, requiring the use of high-flow oxygen.

According to information provided by the Vatican, on the eleventh day of hospitalization at the Gemelli hospital in Rome, Pope Francis reported "a slight improvement" and did not experience "acute asthmatic attacks."

"On Sunday, the Pope - according to the Vatican's medical report - remained calm, not experiencing episodes of asthmatic breathing."
