Como Rout Pisa in Serie A Match

Como from Italy defeated Pisa 5-0 in a match played today at the Giuseppe Sinigaglia stadium, for the thirtieth round of Serie A, the top tier of Italian football. According to the Argentine News Agency, the goals were scored by forwards Assane Diao and Anastasios Douvikas, and midfielders Martin Baturina, Nicolás Paz, and Máximo Perrone. With the win, the team coached by Spanish manager Cesc Fàbregas remains in fourth place in the tournament with 57 points, in the qualifying zone for the UEFA Champions League, while their rivals stay in last place with 18 points, having won just two of their 30 matches. In the day's other matches, Inter could not get past a 1-1 draw with Fiorentina, though they remain leaders. Roma beat Lecce 1-0, as did Atalanta over Hellas Verona, and Lazio took all three points by defeating Bologna 2-0. The first goal of the match came at six minutes, when Assane Diao recovered the ball just past the halfway line, advanced centrally, drifting slightly to the left, before unleashing a cross-shot that beat Brazilian goalkeeper Nicolas, making it 1-0. Diao was a key part of the home team's second goal at 28 minutes, with a run down the right and a subsequent low cross to the near post, which was converted by Anastasios Douvikas, whose first-time shot from inside the box went in off the left post. In the second half, at the two-minute mark, Argentine midfielder Máximo Perrone assisted Baturina, who got past a defender and shot while entering the area with a low, cross-footed strike that left the 37-year-old Brazilian goalkeeper with no chance. The first Argentine goal came at 29 minutes and was the work of Nico Paz, who received a back-heel pass from full-back Alberto Moreno and took a quick first-time shot that surprised Nicolas at his near post. Six minutes later, facing a completely disorganized defense, forward Nicolas Kuhn was able to get down the right with ease, before putting in another back-pass that found an Argentine midfielder, this time Máximo Perrone, who pushed the ball into the net to seal the 5-0 rout.
