Italian newspaper Tutto Sport has revealed that AC Milan is considering signing Spanish veteran defender Sergio Ramos, 39, in the upcoming winter transfer window. The report indicates that Ramos, a former player for Real Madrid and Sevilla, is among the names on Milan's list. Ramos, who had a brief experience in the Mexican league, is eager to return to Europe. Monterrey, known as 'The Hammer', has announced that they will not extend Ramos's contract, making him a free agent. The former Spain international hopes to return to European leagues to secure a place in Luis de la Fuente's squad for the 2026 World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. According to the Italian website Tutto Sport, Ramos and his agents have held direct contacts with AC Milan management to explore the possibility of a move in January. If the deal is completed, it is expected that Ramos will be reunited with his former 'Royal' club teammate Luka Modrič, who joined the 'Rossoneri' in the summer of 2025 and is delivering an exceptional performance despite being over 40 years old.
