Napoli suffers heavy defeat and loses Serie A lead

Napoli suffered a heavy 2-0 defeat against Bologna in the 11th round of Serie A and lost the lead in the Italian domestic league.

Bologna, who is having a very good season, won thanks to goals from Dutch striker Thijs Dallinga and Colombian defender Jhon Lucumí in the 5th and 21st minutes of the second half.

The opening goal came from Dallinga, who quickly intercepted the ball to place it precisely into the near post of the Napoli goalkeeper following a good pass from Italian Nicolo Cambiaghi.

A quarter of an hour later, the goal that began to seal the game's fate arrived when Lucumí won the aerial battle to score with a great header from a cross by Swedish player Emil Holm.

This great victory allowed Bologna to reach 21 points, placing them in fifth position, which would secure a ticket for the next UEFA Europa League.

Napoli, for its part, recorded its second consecutive match without a win in Serie A, coming off a draw against Como, and lost the lead.

Another key match of this Sunday featured Roma against Udinese, where the Italian capital's team won 2-0 thanks to goals from Italian Lorenzo Pellegrino and Turk Zeki Celik to reach 24 points and become the leader.

Roma, managed by Italian Gian Piero Gasperini and featuring Argentines Matías Soulé and Paulo Dybala, aims to end a 25-year drought without a Serie A title.

The other team that could catch up on this Sunday is Inter Milan, who, in the last match of the round, host Lazio.
