Italian football giant Juventus has announced the signing of Luciano Spalletti, the former head coach of the Italian national team, on a contract until the end of the season to replace Igor Tudor. Juventus parted ways with the Croatian Tudor last Monday following a run of eight matches without a win in all competitions. "Luciano Spalletti is the new coach of Juventus," the club said in a statement. "He has signed a contract with the club until June 30, 2026." Tudor, who replaced Thiago Motta this past March, was the first foreign coach appointed by Juventus since Frenchman Didier Descham for the 2006-2007 season. He led Juventus to a fourth-place finish in Serie A last season and qualification for the UEFA Champions League. "We are pleased to welcome a coach with such experience and expertise to the Juventus family: welcome to Juventus, and we wish you the best of luck!"
