The "Emirates - XRG team for cycling" participates in the 108th edition of the race "Giro d'Italia", the first of four grand tours of the season, which starts today. This year, the route consists of 3413 kilometers, including five mountain stages, all hills, six flat stages, and two individual time trials, with a total of two weeks of competitive racing. The team features young Spanish cyclist Juan Aiosa, the overall winner of the Tirreno-Adriatico, as well as British racer Adam Yates, who brings rich experience and climbing skills, as well as full technical support. Other participants in the race include Jay Vine, Isaaak Del Toro, Rafael Maikika, Igor Areita, and Brendon McNulty, who will support Aiosa and Yates in the decisive stages. The team will also include prominent former cyclists such as former pink jersey holder Primoz Roglic, Colombian Ivan Sosa, and Michael Landa from the Bahrain-Victorious team. The race begins with a challenging mountain stage, after which there will be an individual time trial, creating an early test for ambitious contenders for the pink jersey.
