Juan Ayuso Wins Trofeo Laigleia 2025

Juan Ayuso secured victory at the Trofeo Laigueglia 2025 after a tense battle with four superstars, bringing the UAE Team Emirates their first win on Italian soil this season. The 22-year-old Ayuso added the victory in Trofeo Laigueglia to his win at the Fawn Drum Classic, which he claimed last Sunday.

Ayuso became the second cyclist from UAE Team Emirates to win the Trofeo Laigueglia, following Juan Palancha's win in 2022, and the first Spaniard to achieve such success in the history of this race, which has been held for 61 years. After the race, Ayuso expressed gratitude to his teammates and shared hopes of achieving new goals in Italy. "This place is what I was missing: I had been third, second, and finally, I managed to take first place. I am happy that I could successfully conclude the team's efforts; we controlled the race the whole day, dictated a strong pace, and in the final lap, I always had a teammate around me who supported me and covered every move."

On another front, at the Croatian-Slovenian border, UAE Team Emirates won a one-day race in Croatia, the Umag Trophy, thanks to Matthew Schwarzbauer from Slovakia. Matthew continues his successful activity with UAE Team Emirates, marking his first victory as part of the Generation Z team.
