Italian Energy Minister Gilberto Pichetto Frattini stated in an interview given to a Friday newspaper. He emphasized the importance of diversifying energy supplies to ensure national security. The minister also discussed the prospects of cooperation with other countries in the field of renewable energy sources. According to him, Italy is actively working on reducing its dependence on a single gas supplier. Frattini noted that the government is taking all necessary measures to stabilize the energy market.
