
The President of the UAE, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, attended a dinner hosted by the President of the Italian Republic, Sergio Mattarella, in honor of him and the accompanying delegation within the framework of the state visit to Italy. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed noted that the strategic partnership between the UAE and Italy continues to grow and develop, emphasizing that his visit to Italy reflects the desire of both countries to work together to improve cooperation and mutual economic growth.
During the banquet, both presidents exchanged gifts symbolizing the history and legacy of the two countries. Among Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed's gifts was a commemorative book about the history of the UAE, presented in the banquet context by members of the delegation accompanying the President of the UAE, including Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, holding the position of Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs, as well as Sheikh Mohamed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Advisor to the President of the UAE, and several Italian ministers, high-ranking officials and guests.
At the banquet, the President of the UAE conferred upon the President of Italy the Order of Zayed, the highest civilian honor granted by the UAE to global leaders and heads of state, while President Mattarella in turn awarded Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed the Order of the Italian Republic, the highest medal conferred by Italy to global leaders.
