Emirati Athletes Win Medals at Special Olympics

Emirati athletes secured a gold and bronze medal in the Special Olympics World Winter Games in Turin, Italy. Abdullah Al-Naimi won gold in snowboarding, while Mineh Al-Mazrouei took the bronze. This marks a significant achievement for the Middle East's participation.


Emirati Athletes Win Medals at Special Olympics

The athletes of the Olympic team of special opportunities from the UAE won two medals (gold and bronze) during their performance at the ongoing Winter Special Olympic Games, currently taking place in Turin, Italy. The team is represented by 11 athletes.

Abdulla Al Naimi won gold in snowboarding, while Mainh Al Mazroui won bronze in the same discipline. These medals became the first for the countries of the Middle East and North Africa participants of the competitions.

The UAE's participation in these competitions is the largest in terms of the number of disciplines - 6 types: cross-country skiing, alpine skiing, slalom, figure skating, downhill skiing, and snowboarding.
