The home of English footballer Jamie Vardy in the Italian town of Salò was burglarized while he was away in Rome for a match with his team Cremonese, which ended in a 3-1 loss. The theft was discovered by Vardy's friends upon their return, who found belongings scattered on the floor with clear signs of a break-in. Local police in Salò confirmed that three thieves broke into the house through an open window and stole watches, jewelry, cash, and other valuables, with an initial estimated value of 100,000 pounds sterling. Among the stolen items was a Philippe Patek watch. It is reported that a babysitter was present in the villa at the time of the incident. Vardy has confirmed the theft and filed a police report.
