Pope Francis Remains Stable Amid Health Concerns

The health status of Pope Francis remained stable with no new respiratory failure crises, according to the Press Office of the Holy See. The Supreme Pontiff, 88 years old, has continued with his respiratory and motor physiotherapy, without experiencing episodes of respiratory failure in recent days.

During the morning and afternoon, Pope Francis engaged in work activities and alternated rest with prayer while remaining hospitalized at the Agostino Gemelli Polyclinic in Rome since February 14 due to bronchitis and bilateral pneumonia. Additionally, it was reported that he had a quiet night and is actively cooperating with the treatment.

The medical statement detailed that the pope's hemodynamic parameters and blood analyses have remained stable. Although it was necessary to resume non-invasive mechanical ventilation at night, the doctors emphasized the absence of crises in recent days. The medical staff continues with a reserved prognosis due to the complexity of his clinical picture.

The pontiff has not had a fever and his mood remains positive. Information on the evolution of his health will be provided in a forthcoming medical bulletin that will be announced this Saturday. Despite there being no medical report tomorrow, there will be an update on the health of Pope Francis, as announced by the Press Office of the Holy See.
