Stable Condition of Pope Francis in Rome

Pope Francis, who has been hospitalized at the Gemelli Polyclinic in Rome since February 14, had a good night's rest, according to the Vatican Press Office. His clinical condition remains stable.

In a statement, it was mentioned that the Pontiff awoke shortly after 8:00 and has cooperated with therapies, remaining alert and oriented. During the night, non-invasive mechanical ventilation was resumed as planned, and in the morning he transitioned to high-flow oxygen therapy and underwent respiratory physiotherapy.

The Holy Father has alternated between prayer and rest, received the Eucharist, and was stable in terms of his cardiac, renal, and blood values. Although his clinical picture remained stable, he had experienced expected bronchospasms in the context of his pneumonia.
