The expulsion of Theo Hernández in the 51st minute affected the Italian team, which was ultimately equalized by Julián Carranza in the 73rd minute, thus sealing Milan's elimination from the Champions League.
After this surprising elimination, Feyenoord managed to advance to the round of 16 in the Champions League after a 50-year wait. Meanwhile, Milan was looking to return to that stage after last doing so in 2022, following a 9-year absence from the European competition.
