Visitors walk through the 'Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II' in the Italian city of Milan, which is the oldest shopping center still operating in Italy and one of the main tourist attractions in Milan. This center is located in a two-arcade complex consisting of four floors and is situated in the heart of the city. The 'Galleria' is named after King Victor Emmanuel II, who was the first king of the unified Kingdom of Italy. The design of the center began in 1861, and its construction under the Italian architect Giuseppe Mengoni took place from 1865 to 1877.
