Italian football club Lecce defeated Pisa 1-0 in the matchday 15 of Serie A, the top tier of Italian football. The match took place today at the Via del Mare stadium. According to the Argentine News Agency (NA), the author of the only goal of the match was Serbian forward Nikola Stulic, who scored in the 31st minute of the second half. With this narrow victory, the red-and-black team climbed to thirteenth place in the Italian championship with 16 points, leaving Pisa in the relegation zone in eighteenth place with 10 points. The first chance of the game came in the 19th minute for the home side, but a low cross from midfielder Santiago Pierotti was easily saved by goalkeeper Adrián Samper. Eight minutes later, a corner kick created two goal-scoring opportunities for Lecce, but headers from defender Kialonda Gaspar and forward Francesco Camarda were blocked. The only goal of the match came in the 31st minute of the second half, when a run down the left flank and a back-cross from Lameck Banda was pushed into the goal by Stulic.
