The book "The Billy Besta Collection," written by Jill Senft and published by Limonero, has been awarded a special mention as a debut work at the Bologna Book Fair. This prestigious award is granted in collaboration with the Italian Publishers Association (AIE) and the International Publishers Association (IPA) and recognizes the efforts of publishers in different geographical regions.
The award ceremony will take place on Monday, March 31, coinciding with the start of the fair, which will be held in the Italian city until April 3. "The Billy Besta Collection" is a catalog that compiles the most notable pieces from the Billy Besta collection, serving as a tribute to the eccentric collector on the twentieth anniversary of his passing.
Jill Senft, the author of the book, is a renowned painter and artist residing in Berlin. With an academic background from the University of Arts Berlin, Senft has collaborated with major clients such as Vogue, The New York Times, WeTransfer, Bon Appétit, and Crocs. Limonero, on the other hand, is an Argentine publishing house specializing in the publication and dissemination of illustrated books, aiming to attract readers of all ages.
In 2019, Limonero was awarded the Small Publisher Prize at the same fair. The publishing house stands out for creating colorful hand-painted works that reflect various aspects of daily life, seeking to captivate its audience through the creativity and originality of its publications.
